Kraski teran is the most famous red wine of the Slovene Littoral region, where it has been produced since time immemorial. This strong, dark red wine is rich in lactic acid, tannin and iron. Because of its exceptional qualities, it is highly recommended to those with digestive problems.

Cvicdek is a light wine distinguished by a characteristic red colour, pleasingly mild taste and high acidity. It is a combination of several grape varieties: kraljevina, zlahtnina, zametna crnina and modra frankinja.

Modri pinot (pinot noire) is a first-class red wine with a rich, ruby colour, delicate bouquet, and an aroma of hazelnuts and walnuts. It is moderately rich in alcohol, with a balanced acidity and velvety, game-like flavour. This exquisite wine is highly prized by conoisseurs, and considered the noblest of red wines.

Merlot is a supreme wine characterized by a lovely ruby-red colour, distinct bouquet and very pleasant flavour. The vineyards of the Koper district give a rich, majestic wine of international distinction.

Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep-red wine produced from a single variety. Carefully cellared and aged in oak casks, it develops superior qualities.

Refosk is a symbol of the long winegrowing tradition of Istria, a exceptional wine with unique qualities that cannot be matched in any other winegrowing district. It is a full-bodied wine of dark, almost black, colour with a hint of violet.

Barbera is deep ruby-red wine, with an amaranth hue, the alcohol content is quite high. The wine is rich and lively thanks to its moderate and balanced acids. The bouquet is quite noticeable, the predominant fragrance being that of raspberry, with a hint of violets.

Cabernet Frank (cabernet-franc) is a dark red wine with a characteristic straw-like aroma, closely related to Cabernet Sauvignon. An extremely rich, full-bodied wine with a mild acidity, which acquires elegance with age.

Modra Frankinja is a dark red wine with a tinge of blue. A full-bodied wine of great character, fairly similar in style to Modri Pinot (pinot noire), although these two varieties are not related.
